  1. The end. — Kathy’s now leaving forever (or until the grids are merged or she turns 18, whichever comes first) and she’s closing AjaxLife! WE’VE GOT TO STOP HER!!! And, there goes my last stable “portal” to Teen Second Life :( .
  2. Xbox 360 returned, critical components not included – Ouch. The one time they don’t check the returned Xbox, it’s gutted. Bad luck?
  3. Charlie, she’s trying to tell you the iPhone’s upside down – This is the second time this is happening! Don’t celebrities know how to hold a phone god damn it?!?!
  4. We’re SPINNING the WHEEL of FORTUNE… — Come on, come on, daddy needs a new pair of teleporters!!! AWW! The Habbo Team spinned a (new) virtual wheel of fortune (which should open about a zillion new competitions and upgrade some, like the notorious Fridge Game), and we had to choose one of five objects. The ones who chose the (useless) camera won one for FREE. The camera allows people to take snapshots in vintage colors (for some reason) and upload it to a little PostIt-note-like photo on any wall around their little room(s). WHY DIDN’T TELEPORTERS WON???

Here are my picked news for this week (i’ll probably add more later), all the way from my busy RSS Reader:

  1. Rope Experiment — Apparently, Bella found a script making up for Linden Lab removing the prims advanced physical linkage system, also known as “Joints”. Very nifty, I wonder if the creator will agree on giving it to me…
  2. Mini How-To: Remove the Windows BSOD icon in Leopard, make OS X a little less smug – It’s not the “How-To” i’m talking about, it’s the idea of Apple making the icon representing a Windows-powered PC in the local (or city-wide for WiMAX) network, with an old CRT (sorry, no acronym, but it means an old radiation-pulsing monitor…) displaying the Windows BSOD, Blue Screen Of Death. Apple, please play nice, don’t stoop down to Microsoft’s level.
  3. Wi-LAN claims WiFi and DSL patent infringement, sues everybody – Are they CRAZY? Suddenly they say “Every computer company providing WiFi (Wireless Networking) used OUR copyright without permission!”? If this ever works, somehow, pigs will start flying and Steve Jobs (Apple’s CEO) and Bill Gates (Microsoft’s CEO, duh. P.S.: Try calling him Gill Bates. Hahahahaha…) will become friends, starting “AppleSoft”, or “MicroApple”.
  4. Ridiculous DualShock 3 deals arise from importers — Huh? I need to buy a new 40GB Playstation 3 just to get the same controller I have plus vibration?!?! Good thing I don’t care about joystick vibration… Plus, the new 40GB model has no backwards compatibility, but my current 60GB model has :P . Eat happiness, suckas! ;) .
  5. Monster of Habbo! — The “rock” contest ended, and “Plain White HCs” (HC = Habbo Club, used in plural to mention several people in the “Habbo Club” ; Habbo Club = The paid membership program for Habbo) won. Their songs are so “out-of-beat”… Although making songs in the Trax editor is kinda hard…
  6. Leaving. – Katharine Berry, the creator of TSL Emporium, the Teen Grid’s only E-commerce website, TSL Profiles, the Teen Grid’s only profiles website, and AjaxLife, the first Web 2.0 application to support connection to Second Life without installing a thing, is leaving! AHHH!… We’ll miss ya Kathy… Hmm, I wonder wether Kathy will accept my proposal to give me the code to keep E-commerce going for us… I would make it called “onsale”, like “onrez”, only modified ;) .
  7. USB Ferris Wheel Phone Stand shocks and awes – O-K, that’s freaky. A USB-powered ferris wheel that moves, lights up, and makes weird 8-bit sounds when your phone, physically attached to it, rings. I’m gonna get it, remove the sound, and CALL MYSELF 999,999,999,999,999 TIMES! :D .

Yeppers, this is taken by the idea of Vint’s “Second Life Web Resources” often post! I’m making mine for the 1-feed-per-1/2-hour/s habit Engadget (and others) have:

  1. Leopard hacked for Intel PC consumption — Mac OS X Leopard has been hacked to run on PCs, means no buying 600$+ computers! Although I do agree the 64-bit core and HD graphics really interest me into staying on the “Buy an iMac!” side…
  2. Leopard vs Vista: feature chart showdown — No matter what Mac OS X has in store for me, I somehow still think of “But, I want an iPod Touch first!” “Idiot, your currently hard-damaged PC doesn’t even support iTunes 7.4*!”, so this keeps me on track ‘^_^.
  3. Habbo ~ Trick or Treat TGIF — The Habbo Hotel team from Sulake has a nice little treat for us Habbos for Halloween, so I selected option one (Treated) with my main account, and option two (Tricked) with my alt, hehe. Yep, for now I moved to Habbo Hotel due to all the problems i’m having in SL. SL works on my main PC’s hardware, but not it’s ISP, vice-versa on the secondary PC. Habbo and There.com work on the secondary, so why not…
  4. Habbo ~ *FREE* PURPLE TRAXMACHINES! — No matter how hard I try tried (It EXPIRED! AHHH!) I can’t get one with the complimentary Traxpack! I mean, it opens with 900 every day at 3:00PM EST, and I try exactly at 3:00PM EST, and it says none are left!. Ouch.

*The currently damaged installation of XP (that looks like Mac OS X for now — changed theme) doesn’t support Windows Installer packages at all, but removal. This probably has some problems with the temporary directories, where files are extracted to during the installation. Stupid Windows core.
